About MyInLaw

Introduction:

Welcome to MyInLaw, a vibrant nonprofit organisation dedicated to serve the East African community and beyond. MyInLaw is a Toronto-based community organization delivering direct services in youth leadership, workforce development, and cultural health initiatives across two sites in Scarborough and Bloor.

Our Vision:

A vibrant, inclusive Ontario where newcomers and marginalized communities thrive through culturally relevant support systems, intergenerational leadership, and equitable access to opportunity.

Our Mission:

To serve East African and equity-deserving communities across Ontario by delivering accessible programs in health, recreation, workforce development, and cultural engagement — fostering equity, economic independence, and belonging for all.

Goals:

MyInLaw exists to foster holistic community development by advancing health equity, empowering youth through recreation and leadership, supporting economic independence via job and entrepreneurship programs, and promoting cultural pride and social belonging. We aim to remove systemic barriers by delivering accessible, culturally informed services in partnership with community, while elevating newcomer voices and creating safe spaces for healing, growth, and opportunity.

The Inlaw Concept: We're Family

We embrace the "We Are All InLaws" concept because, in Ontario, we're not just neighbors; we're a family. Our journeys in this land bind us together, creating a community that thrives on shared experiences.

In Conclusion:

At MyInLaw, we are steadfast in our commitment to enriching the lives of the East African community in Toronto. We dedicate ourselves to uplifting entrepreneurs, fostering collaboration, and driving sustainable economic and social growth through our extensive range of services. Join us in our mission to build a strong, inclusive, and prosperous community where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
